Last summer, I got to spend some time in the good ole’ Republic of Ireland.
It was pretty much an experience to die for.

(River Liffey)

(Kilmainham Gaol)

(Steak and Kidney Pie)

The hills were alive with the sound of sheep.

But to be quite honest… it was effin’ cold and rainy! In June!

And then I remembered how exactly the Irish keep warm:

So, if it’s rainy and cold in your neck of the woods (like it is mine), grab yourself a copy of The Tales of the Elders of Ireland (so much fun history!), a comforting plate of colcannon, and a large Irish stout to wash it down with.
If beer’s not your thing, the Irish have a thing for coffee…
Or, just try some of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day recipes:

Twopeas’s Delicious Bruleed Steel Cut Oats
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Don’t forget to wear green! (And you won’t forget if you have this little number hanging in your closet)
